Pupils will be introduced to the work of local historian, Jonathan Skidmore, who is writing the Neath and district Memorial for WW1. Pupils will make an appeal to the school, families and wider communities for information on people from the area who served in WW1. Biographical information as well as artefacts such as letters, photos etc will be sought. The pupils will particularly focus upon the career and life of a local war hero, Oliver Jones. Finally, they will turn the materials into a short drama presentation with an element of reflection.
