Ysgol Bryn Alyn School- How can we commemorate World War One?

Every secondary school in Wales has the opportunity to apply to receive up to £1,000 to develop creative and innovative projects to commemorate the First World War. Our idea:

Pupils will create a Remembrance Garden, which will include an array of poppies and a plaque with a message of commemoration.  It also incorporates local history by working with the local newspaper to collect memories of WWI from local residents and their families. The garden will be completed by Winter 2015.

In January 2015 pupils will travel to Glyndŵr University to create a commemorative model, which will be displayed in the main corridor of the museum, in February 2015
