Cardiff High School: Remembering Our Own

Every secondary school in Wales has the opportunity to apply to receive up to £1,000 to develop creative and innovative projects to commemorate the First World War.  Our idea:

111024 - WG_Funded_land_mono jpg - LogoCardiff High School History Club – Remembrance Committee – Students from Year 10 on, who are members of the History Committee will co-ordinate, but the research/activities will involve students from every year Group. Learners will gain knowledge and understanding of people from their local area who served in WW1.  They will build links within the school and the wider local community. They will use local knowledge and Glamorgan Archives to create a display which can serve as an archive for future generations and will be displayed at an open evening event.
