WW1 Centenary Commemoration Open Day

Come and enjoy an open day at our attractive church on the hill. Fine war hero stained glass window in memory of Major Edmund Styant Williams First Battalion Monmouthshire Regiment killed in Second Battle of Ypres 1915.
Events will include access to church registers and records 1725 to present day, World War 1 and local history exhibitions, free advice and help and children’s activities. Bell ringing and Special Commemorative Service at 4.30 pm with veterans of Royal Welsh Regiment and ATC cadets. All welcome.
Light refreshments and church guides available. The church has full facilities for the less able, toilets and car park.
The church is signposted just off B4236 Cwmbran – Caerleon – Newport road in Church Road llanfrechfa NP44 8DQ by The Gate Llanfrechfa village pub and restaurant. Buses – Newport Buses routes nos 29 and 29b Bus Stop at The Gate, Llanfrechfa nearby.(Hourly service). Rail – nearest Rail Stations Cwmbran and Newport.
