Gwynedd Council, in partnership with Wales for Peace, The RWF Museum at Caernarfon Castle and the Ysgwrn, Trawfynydd are creating a pop up museum at St. Mary’s Church, Caernarfon, in memory of the soldiers of the Great War and as part of the armed forces day . The museum will run from 12 June to 18 June and the exhibition will include the facsimile of the Black Chair, the chair won by Hedd Wyn, Trawsfynydd, the poet killed in the trenches of France before his Chairing Ceremony at the Birkenhead Eisteddfod in 1917.

A short serviceto officially open the exhibition will be held at St Mary’s Church, Caernarfon at 10.45 am on Monday 12 June (please be seated by 10.30 am).
